Our terms and conditions
1. General
1.1 Chimera VR (referred to as “Supplier” in the rest of the text) offer team games in virtual reality for up to 80 people. Up to 22 people can play at the same time, and larger groups play in several rounds.
1.2 The trademarks, logos, texts and pictures displayed on the website are the property of Supplier. You are not permitted to copy or use these without the prior written permission of Supplier.
1.3 These terms and conditions and any contract concluded incorporating these terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and all disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
1.4 Supplier provides space for storing your personal items during the game that you use at your own risk. Supplier will not be responsible for loss of or damage to your stored personal belongings.
1.5 While you are on the premises of Supplier, you must ensure to conform to the Supplier’s codes of conduct and game regulations, adopt proper standards of behaviour, and cooperate with instructions issued by the Supplier’s employees. The Supplier will not tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment towards its employees. In this event, the Supplier reserves the right to suspend the game and/or ask you to leave the premises or deny entry.
1.6 The Supplier reserve the right to alter, close or remove details/exhibits without prior notice for technical, operational or other reasons, and that no refunds can be given in these circumstances.
2. Booking
2.1 The person who makes booking must be authorized to make the booking on the basis of these terms and conditions for the whole group.
2.2 The person is responsible for making all payments due to the Supplier.
2.3 The person who makes the booking accepts these terms on own behalf and on behalf of all game participants in the booking.
2.4 The person who makes the booking must be at least 18 years old.
2.5 Your booking will be confirmed by a booking reference, we will reconfirm your booking by email. The confirmation is sent to the email address which you enter/provide at the time of making your booking. However if you have spam filtering on your email account, our email might not reach you. It is your responsibility to check that any Game’s booking confirmation sent to you is accurate.
2.6 You are entirely responsible for entering your details correctly in the Online Booking Form. By submitting an Online Booking Form, you warrant to the Supplier that all details supplied by you are true and accurate.
2.7 A binding contract between you and the Supplier comes into existence when the website confirms to you the booking. The booking will still be binding for you even if you do not receive email due to the reasons that the Supplier cannot affect. This contract and all matters arising out of it are governed by English law.
3. Changes and cancellations
3.1 It is possible to cancel or transfer your booking by contacting us by email or phone but not later than 2 days before your game time start. If you contact us later than 2 days before your game start, you will be required to pay full price for the booking, regardless of if you come or not. The Supplier has the right to send you an invoice in this case.
3.2 If you do not show up for your game, you will be required to pay full price for the game. The Supplier has the right to send you an invoice in this case.
3.3 You can change the number of participants in the game any time after booking is made until 2 days before the booking is scheduled to take place.
3.4 The rules in 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 apply, regardless of reasons for cancellations and changes. The same rules will apply if you make changes because of illness, catastrophe or other unexpected situations.
4. Access to the game
4.1 VR games are not suitable for people with mental problems or children under 8 years of age. Participation takes place at your own risk. Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
4.2 Participants under strong alcoholic influence or with violent behaviour may be denied access to the premises without any refund.
4.3 Everyone who chooses to visit our premises should do it at their own risk. They are fully responsible for any form of loss, injury (physical or mental) or death incurred during the visit. They are obliged to comply with the Supplier’s security rules given before the start of the game.
4.4 Some VR Games are accessible for people using wheelchairs.
4.5 Appropriate clothing and footwear is required
4.6 The Supplier reserves the right to end a session at any point for any reason, in this case a refund will be on a purely discretionary basis.
5. Prices
5.1 The Supplier’s standard price per participant must be paid. Price per participant depends on the games selected.
5.2 Current discounts is listed on the website. Several discounts can not be combined.
5.2 The Supplier has the right to correct errors in the prices stated in the booking confirmation.
6. Damage to the equipment
6.1 It is not allowed to use physical force when using the equipment, crash into walls or each other. If you cause damage to the equipment by failing to follow the Supplier’s rules, applying physical force or crashing into walls or each other, you must cover full cost for replacement of the equipment.
7. Meet-up time
7.1 The meet-up time is 10 minutes before the start of the game.
7.2 If you arrive earlier, we may be able to start you early depending on trade levels
7.3 In case of arrival later than 5 minutes before the start of the game, the group may get reduced play time. No refund will be given in this case.
7.4 The group who booked a game is allowed to use the premises only during their scheduled time. They can not stay in the premises before and after the scheduled time.
8. Gift card
8.1 The gift card must be presented at the till in lieu of payment and surrendered to the supplier
8.2 gift cards presented in such a manner can only be used in their entirety .
8.3 Gift cards can not be redeemed in cash.
8.4 Gift cards are valid for the period written on the card. Expired gift card cannot be used or redeemed.
8.5 We do not replace gift cards that are lost.
8.6 For orders made with gift card, the same rules for changes and cancellations apply as for other games. The gift card is considered to be redeemed if you do not meet up to the agreed time of the game or cancel/move the order later than 2 days in advance.
8.7 Gift cards are not valid without the 8 digit code
9. Force Majeure
9.1. Except where otherwise expressly stated in these terms and conditions, the Supplier regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of ”force majeure». In these terms and conditions, ”force majeure» means any event which the Supplier could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity or actual threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
10. Privacy policy
10.1 The Supplier collects and stores your personal details without disclosing it to any third party and is dedicated to ensure that the privacy of your personal information is protected.
10.2 The Supplier requests personal information as part of the booking process. Your e-mail address and phone number is used for sending notifications related to the game booking and contacting you. Your name is used for identification purposes when arriving for the game. Any additional information provided when making the booking is used to prepare for your visit and perform statistical analysis.
10.3 The Supplier requests payment information online to process online payments.
10.4 The Supplier will only share your name and booking details with our employees for operational and logistical purposes.
10.5 In legal terms, the data is processed by Stripe UK.
10.6 The Supplier is using third-party vendors for handling booking and payment processes online. The booking process is handled by our online booking system. Our website financial transactions are handled through our payment services providers, Stripe and/or Barclaycard. The parties have their own separate privacy policies.
10.7 With your verbal consent, the Supplier will take a photo of your team after the game and post the photo on our website, Facebook and/or other social media.
11. Website use and security
11.1 The website http://www.chimera-vr.com is owned and operated by the Supplier. The Supplier holds the right to amend or vary these Terms and Conditions including any of the contents of the website from time to time at its sole discretion without prior notice.
11.2 The hereinafter terms apply to the use by any visitor of the Supplier’s website and should be read carefully before any use.
11.3 The Supplier’s website is for your personal and non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information obtained from this website.
11.4 You accept that the Internet is not fully secure. The Supplier will take all appropriate steps to protect the security of any payment card information though the Supplier shall not be liable for any damages that you may suffer as a result of the loss of confidentiality of any such information. Online payments are processed by Stripe.
11.5 The Supplier shall not be liable to any person for any direct or indirect, consequential or incidental damages, including (without limitation) lost profits or revenues, loss of opportunity, costs of replacement goods or services, loss or damage to data or business interruption, arising out of any use of the website
12. Peak Times
12.1 Peak times are defined as: Friday,Saturdays,Sundays all day. All week out of term time.
12.2 Term times are set from the Hampshire County Council Website hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/schoolholidays
12.3 Off Peak is defined as: Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday all day during term time.
